    Some of the ideas i have used before. Some are new and give you ways to preserve things that go bad easily. Freezing fresh herbs is explained in detail. Good use of money if you like to cook.

    This was a gift from my mother, and it's been very handy for little-known tips in the kitchen. I do agree with one reviewer who said it'd be "handier" if spiral-bound, since it is a bit bulky, but it's not like a recipe book where you have to leave it open wide while doing other things. It has an easy to use index. For instance, today I looked up avocados and found the best way to peel and cut them and how to tell if they're ripe. Also, how to degrease pepperoni, keep hotpeppers from burning hands when slicing, and how to keep the remote control clean while cooking. Some of these are no-brainers, but you'll find yourself saying, "oh yeah!" when you read them since they never occurred to you before. I recommend this to all who love to cook and find new methods and shortcuts in the kitchen.
