I'll keep it simple. Reading her books helped me a lot. And I am sometimes an old curmudgeonella.... old cranky lady. At this point, I take anything that helps me and makes me smile, too. At that time when I had just been diagnosed with an aggressive Stage III Cancer and going thru chemo and facing surgery, radiation and nasty odds of a recurrence , THIS WAS THE ONLY THING THAT MADE ME LAUGH!! OUT LOUD!! Didn't matter that she was younger or had different treatment or even if I agreed with her choices (even though I did). When you have someone close to you that has been diagnosed you really don't know what to say and my niece told me about this book so I immediately ordered it for her. She has since had surgery and everything is good for her and she really appreciated the words that the book said for me.
